Head of Projects

Behzad Aria, a veteran in the upstream oil and gas sector, has been steering the Projects division at Pakistan International Oil Limited (PIOL) as the Head of Projects since June 1, 2024. With a career that spans over two decades, Behzad has built a wealth of experience in project leadership and management. He holds a Master of Science degree in Power/Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, underscoring his academic prowess.

Prior to joining PIOL, Behzad served in various capacities at Shell Exploration NZ, OMV New Zealand, and OMV Exploration GmbH (Yemen Block S2), where he made significant contributions to both offshore and onshore projects and operations. His most recent role was with Worley Engineering in Abu Dhabi, where he successfully led an offshore field redevelopment project for ADNOC Offshore (Umm Shaif Long-term Development Plan phase 2).
